Depending on the country and the agent, where the receiver picks up the money, the acceptable IDs will vary. In general passports and national IDs are acceptable. A driver’s license might not be valid.

In some cases the receiver might also need to verify their current address, for example with a utility bill.

At an agent location in Belgium you will need the following:

• The receiver has to show a photo ID and address confirmation (identification, utility bill, etc).
• Agents will pay on the test question alone with proof of lost identification for amounts up to 2.500 EUR.
• The receiver has to know the tracking number (MTCN).
