How do I sign up for a Western Union profile?


To sign up for a Western Union profile, you can go to westernunion.com or download our mobile app. After creating your profile, you’ll also become a member of our loyalty program, MyWUSM, where you can earn reward points and redeem them for transfer fee discounts on future transfers.


  1. Select Sign up.
  2. Enter the required information, and we’ll send a verification link to your registered email address.
  3. Verify your email address by selecting the verification link that will be valid only for 3 days. Then select Complete registration to return to westernunion.com.
  4. Log in to your new profile.
 
On mobile app:
  1. Select Sign up. 
  2. Enter the required information and we’ll send a {*}-digit PIN to your registered email address.
  3. Enter the {*}-digit PIN you received to complete the registration on the Western Union app. The verification PIN is valid only for3 days.
  4. Log in to your new profile.
 Tip: When you sign up for a Western Union profile, your password:
  • Must be 8-16 characters long.
  • Must have one uppercase letter.
  • Must have one lowercase letter.
  • Must have one number or special character.
  • Cannot include your name or email.

How do I log in to my Western Union profile?

 To log in to your Western Union profile, please follow the steps below:
  1. Select Log in.
  2. Enter your registered email address and password. Choose Continue or Log in to proceed.

How do I update my email address on my profile?

You can update your email address on your Western Union profile by visiting westernunion.com and following the steps below:
  1. Log in to your profile.
  2. Select your name from the menu at the top. 
  3. Enter the new email address and select Save to confirm the changes. We’ll send a verification link to your new email address.
  4. Verify your email address by selecting the verification link sent to you. This verification link will be valid only for 3 days. 
  5. Choose Continue to complete the update.
After you’ve successfully updated your email address, use this new email address to log in to your Western Union profile. 
Note: The option to update your email address is not yet available on the mobile app.

How do I update my postal address and phone number?

You can update your postal address and phone number by following the steps below:
  1. Log in to your profile.
  2. Select your name from the menu at the top. 
  3. Enter your new postal address and phone number. 
  4. Choose Save to confirm the changes.
On mobile app: 
  1. Log in to your profile.
  2. Select your profile from the menu.
  3. Select your phone number and postal address, and update the details.
  4. Choose Update to save the changes. 

How do I change my password?

Please note that changing your profile password will also change your MyWUSM password.
 Visit westernunion.com and follow the steps below: 
  1. Log in to your profile. 
  2. Select your name from the menu at the top.
  3. Choose Reset Password.
  4. Enter the new password and choose Save.
 On mobile app, follow the steps below: 
  1. Log in to your profile. 
  2. Select your profile from the menu.
  3. Choose Reset Password.
  4. Enter the new password and choose Save.

How do I add my debit card, credit card1, or a bank account?

To add a new payment method, please follow the steps below: 
  1. Log in to your profile.
  2. Go to the Payment preferences section.
  3. Select Add new credit or debit card. To add a bank account, choose Bank accounts and log in to your bank account online.
  4. Enter your card or bank account information and choose Save.
On mobile app: 
  1. Log in to your profile.
  2. Select Profile from the menu.
  3. Select Payment options.
  4. Add a new debit card, credit card, or a new bank account.
1 Credit card issuer may charge an additional fee and other associated interest charges. Use a debit card to avoid these charges.

How do I delete my profile?

We’re sorry to see you go. Please note that you will lose your existing  MyWUSM points by taking this step and your complete transfer history will be erased. To delete your profile, contact our Customer Care
